At a Hanuman Chalisa event organised by Bajrang Dal, Vikas Verma delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech. He declared, “India belongs to us; Pakistan was for Muslims,” and alleged that secularism oppresses Hindus. Verma fear mongered about Hindus being a “dying race,” invoked the “love jihad” conspiracy, and narrated a fabricated account of a “kattar Islamic” attack during the Murshidabad riots.
He pledged to arm Hindus, alleged a “Muslim Bengali kidnapped a Hindu girl,” and claimed “Shariat” is stealing Hindu land. He warned, “They come as tenants and, once they outnumber us, they loot, rape, and kill.”
