The Bhairav Sena launched a ‘purification’ campaign, demanding that non-Hindus be barred from entering the Char Dham, which refers to four major pilgrimage sites in the region. They also demanded that entry be granted only to those who have consumed Panchagavya- a ritual mixture comprising cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, and ghee.
