At the Mahan Bharat event organised by IM Nashik, BJP leader and Supreme Court advocate Ashwini Upadhyay fearmongered about a Hindu population decline and spread conspiracies of “love jihad,” “drug jihad,” “land jihad,” and “infiltration jihad.” He demanded strict laws to curb these alleged jihads and linked “love jihad” to human trafficking. He falsely claimed that 60 million Bangladeshi and Rohingya “intruders” had entered India and were increasing in numbers.
