BJP Leaders Glorify Past Communal Riots, Urge Hindus to Arm Themselves at Ram Navami Event

Location: Jamshedpur, Jharkhand

At a Ram Navami program organized by the Dhurandhar Singh Akhara Samiti, BJP leader Abhay Singh glorified the 1964 and 1979 Jamshedpur communal riots, claiming they led to Hindu unity and the Ram temple. He urged youth to carry swords, called for schools to teach their use, and targeted Muslims through coded references to Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Fellow BJP leader Karmveer Singh echoed these sentiments, telling Hindus to arm themselves like Lord Ram and stating that “every home should have weapons” — from sticks to swords. He encouraged people to invest in licensed arms and maintain them regularly.
