BJP Legislator T. Raja Singh at Deccan Summit Warns of ‘Hindu-Muslim War,’ Calls for Hindu Rashtra

Location: Viman nagar, Pune, Maharashtra

At the Deccan Summit, organized by The Jaipur Dialogues, BJP legislator T. Raja Singh promoted divisive rhetoric, spreading the conspiracy of ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ by falsely claiming that Muslims were plotting to turn India into an Islamic nation. He further misrepresented former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, falsely alleging that Singh had declared the “first right of resources” belonged to Muslims. Singh also targeted madrasas, Ramzan, and mosques, claiming that taxpayer money funds these institutions, stating, “In Telangana, they spend five hundred crore on these people.”

Later, he escalated his rhetoric by spreading the conspiracy of ‘land jihad,’ declaring, “They have another Pakistan inside India, these land jihadis.” He also called for constructing temples in Kashi, Mathura, Bhojshala, and Sambhal while removing the so-called ‘kalanks’ (stains) from these sites.

Singh further claimed that the government’s next election pitch would be “Give us votes, we will declare this a Hindu Rashtra.” In a direct incitement to violence, he warned of a potential conflict, referencing AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and the Waqf Act: “Owaisi has said if the Waqf Act is scrapped, there will be riots and communal violence. Now, when we declare this a Hindu Rashtra, I don’t know if there will be violence, but we have to be ready to take care of them. We shouldn’t wear bangles or try to be M.K. Gandhi. We have to be ready for war.”

BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay demanded the closure of all madrasas and missionary schools, portraying them as threats to national unity. Later, he spread the conspiracies of ‘love jihad’ and ‘mazaar jihad,’ fear-mongering about an alleged infiltration of India. He further escalated his rhetoric by warning of a ‘demographic change’ and propagating the conspiracies of ‘drug jihad,’ ‘infiltration jihad,’ ‘dharmantran jihad,’ and ‘population jihad.’ Upadhyay also called for the death penalty for alleged ‘infiltrators,’ fueling fears of an alleged demographic takeover.
