Complaint Filed Against Baba Ramdev in Bihar Over Remarks on Muslims and ‘Hindu Rashtra’ (The Observer Post)

A complaint has been filed against yoga guru Baba Ramdev in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur over his recent remarks about Muslims and the concept of a “Hindu Rashtra.”

The complaint was filed by Tamanna Hashmi, national president of the Haq-e-Hindustan Morcha, who alleged that Ramdev’s statements hurt religious sentiments and could promote communal disharmony.

The court has admitted the complaint and fixed July 21 as the next date of hearing.

Complaint Seeks Action Under BNS

In the complaint, Baba Ramdev, also known as Ramakrishna Yadav, has been accused of making remarks that allegedly offended the religious sentiments of Muslims and could incite communal tensions.

The complainant has sought action under Sections 299 and 302 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The complaint was filed under Section 212 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
