Cow vigilantes detained two Muslim individuals carrying buffalo meat and harassed them, claiming they can not carry meat in what they referred to as a “religious city.” The vigilantes acknowledged that the meat was buffalo, not cow, but insisted that no meat would be allowed in the restricted zone.
