A cyber crime complaint has been filed against the Hindutva-aligned social media platform Jaipur Dialogues and its founder Sanjay Dixit over the alleged doxxing of a 15-year-old girl who came under a Hindutva campaign after allegedly using objectionable language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the NEET protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The complaint was lodged by Advocate Rupesh Singh Bhadauria, National Chairman of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Legal Cell.
According to the complaint, several social media accounts, including @JaipurDialogues, @HPhobiaWatch, and @IndicMatrix, allegedly published posts calling for violence against protesters, criminally intimidating women and children, and disclosing the personal details of minors and women following the student- and youth-led protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The complaint alleged that such posts endangered the safety and security of protesters and amounted to offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
One of the incidents highlighted in the complaint concerns a 15-year-old female protester who came under intense media trial and a right-wing campaign.
The complaint alleges that Jaipur Dialogues publicly identified the female protester, disclosed her personal information and subjected her to online harassment despite her being a minor.
On July 27, the platform shared her photograph on X with a poster reading “Find Her” and “She abused PM Modi.”
Critics alleged that the platform subsequently published her personal details, including her phone number, exposing the minor to widespread online abuse.
According to several activists and social media users, the minor protester began receiving rape and death threats after her details were circulated online, forcing her into hiding.
