Members of Bajrang Dal, Akhil Bhartiya Karni Sena, Brahman Mahasabha, and the BJP, protested against the post-wedding reception of an interfaith couple who were already married in the United States, claiming it to be a case of “love jihad” and alleging that it would encourage “love jihad” among young people. The protesters demanded that the authorities intervene to stop the event and issued threats of violence at the venue.
