By The Observer Post

In Jhinjhana village of Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, a man named Sarfaraz was brutally attacked with an axe by a villager named Govind. Sarfaraz was sitting outside a house with his child when Govind suddenly attacked him, hitting him several times on his face, neck, and shoulders.

Sarfaraz was badly injured and is now in critical condition at the hospital. Witnesses said that after the attack, Govind ran away but continued roaming the village with the axe, spreading fear among the villagers.

Sarfaraz’s family alleged that Govind was shouting during the attack, saying, “Save yourself if you can, I will kill like this.” Some villagers also claimed that Govind was threatening to kill 26 people, shouting, “26 ke badle 26 marunga” (I will kill 26 in return for 26).

The injured man’s family has demanded police protection, fearing another attack. They said they are still receiving threats.

Police reached the village after the incident, sent Sarfaraz to the hospital, and deployed extra security in the area. They have launched a search to catch Govind. Officials said they will arrest him soon and find out the full reason behind the attack.

Meanwhile, Shamli Police have called the claim about Govind’s revenge threat “baseless” for now, saying the investigation is ongoing.
