Hafiz Abu Bakr, a Muslim medical student, was barred from entering his final-year medical examination at SVP Hospital unless he shaved his beard. Despite the exam beginning at 9:00 AM, officials allowed him to enter only after prolonged arguments and intervention by college authorities, permitting him to sit for the exam around 11:30 AM. Abu Bakr said he was targeted due to prejudice against his religious identity.
