The Aligarh Development Authority (ADA) demolished a 28-year-old graveyard (qabristan) following a complaint by VHP–Bajrang Dal leader Gaurav Sharma to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Officials stated that the land has been ADA property since 1983 and termed the graveyard an illegal occupation.
