At a public gathering to purify a temple after allegations that a Muslim man had urinated on it, Hindu nationalist leader Vimal Singh Parmar targeted the Muslim community, derogatorily referring to them as “jihadi,” and calling them dirty and untrustworthy. He urged Hindus not to trust Muslims or even “let them cross their path,” warning that they might take away Hindu daughters. He declared, “A Muslim child can never be truthful,” and claimed that Muslims live in India only due to Hindu generosity. He threatened that without it, Muslims would be forced to leave the country within 24 hours, with no place to run.
