In Amori, CM Dhami touts anti-“jihad” laws, demolitions, and land “reclamation”

Location: Amori, Champawat, Uttarakhand

During the foundation stone-laying ceremony for development projects and a meeting with local representatives, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami claimed that his government has taken strict action against “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” and introduced laws against religious conversion. He stated that “Operation Kalnemi” has been launched against those allegedly harming Sanatan and hurting religious sentiments. Dhami asserted that the government has ‘reclaimed’ 9,000 acres of land from “land jihadis,” alleging that they had encroached on government land by laying green and yellow chadars, which he termed a conspiracy to destroy the state’s identity and demographic composition. He further claimed that 500 mazars and mosques he deemed illegal have been demolished, 250 madrasas sealed, and a bill introduced to dissolve the Madrasa Board.
