In Amritsar, Togadia Calls for Population Control and Expulsion of Alleged Bangladeshis

Location: Amritsar, Punjab

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, addressed a gathering, claimed that the Hindu religion and the idea of a “Hindu Rashtra” were created by God. He alleged that 2000 years ago Hindus were in the entire world, claiming they declined due to “loot, conversions and displacement.” He fearmongered the declining Hindu population, claiming wherever they have declined, they have been killed. He declared that they would maintain a “Hindu majority” through law or by force. He demanded a population control law and the expulsion of 3 crore Bangladeshis, and promoted the campaign “3 bache hindu sache.” He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus. He further asserted that Hindus would be “the ones to beat and win.” He mentioned the recent Sikh protest disruption in Auckland, New Zealand, and the killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, fearmongering Hindu safety, urging for the establishment of Hanuman Chalisa Centres.
