Members of Hindu nationalist organisations staged a protest targeting the Muslim community after reports of alleged stone-pelting on a Ganesh idol. They chanted slogans such as “Neither to the mullahs nor the qazis, this country belongs to the brave Shivaji” and “Down with the jihadi mindset.” Addressing the crowd, Hindu Utsav Samiti President Chandrashekhar Tiwari demanded strict action against the accused and called for the demolition of their houses.
