Hindu Suraksha Samiti members staged a protest and submitted a memorandum demanding 100% reservation for Bengali Hindus in the state in both government and private sector jobs. During the protest, participants raised slogans peddling the conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad,” and chanted, “In Hindus’ Bengal, ‘jihadis’ have no place” and “The Razakars of ’46, leave the country.”
