VHP–Bajrang Dal members attacked two Muslim youths who were attending a friend’s birthday party at a café, abusing them with the slur “katua” and accusing them of engaging in “love jihad.” The group also harassed the woman whose birthday was being celebrated. Police initially registered cases against the victims and the café staff, and filed a case against the assailants only after an uproar on social media.
