Mahant Raju Das addressed a gathering, urging Hindus to become “kattar” (hardline) toward dharma, claiming that India had been ruled by “chor, neech, aur lutere” (“thieves, lowly people, and looters”) for 800 years and by the British for 200 years. He alleged that Hindus were under threat, stating that if the gathering had involved Muslims or Christians, they would have been “welcomed with shoes.” He alleged that Hindu daughters were being taken away by “vidharmis,” claiming they abandon them after a single declaration of talaq and force them to go to multiple other men. He referenced the Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra, stating that participants from Nepal had attended and spoke of an instance of a man talking to Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, claiming that if India were to become a Hindu Rashtra, it could help Nepal also become a Hindu Rashtra again.
