During an event organised by Shri Shyam Gungaan Mandal, Hindu nationalist singer Kanhaiya Mittal claimed that hoisting a saffron (“Bhagwa”) flag symbolises protection from evil and victory, and asserted that a flag on a house signals to any “Abdul” passing by that it belongs to those who “drove it into Babur’s chest” and built the Ram Mandir. He alleged that “Bangladeshi” infiltrate the country, conceal identities, adopt false Hindu names, and target Hindu women, calling for Aadhaar-based identity verification. He further urged women to “be like Durga, be like Kali, but never be burqewali.”
