In Bhuj, Amit Shah Vows to ‘Identify and Expel Every Ghuspaithiya’ from India

Location: Bhuj, Gujarat

At the BSF’s 60th Raising Day ceremony, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted the BSF is working to stop ghuspaith (illegal infiltration) across all borders, calling it essential for national security and for protecting India’s democratic system. He accused certain political parties of weakening Ghuspaithiya Hatao Abhiyan (anti-infiltration efforts) and opposing the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process to “cleanse” the voter list. Shah declared that the government will “identify and expel each and every ghuspaithiya (infiltrator) from the country,” asserting that only Indian citizens—not ghuspaithiya (infiltrators)—have the right to influence decisions about the country’s leadership. He described the SIR as necessary for safeguarding democracy and warned parties he said were “protecting ghuspaithiya (infiltrators).” He added that the Bihar election results represent a public mandate against the presence of infiltrators.
