Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal organized a Shastra Pujan (weapons worship) program where members brandished guns and swords. A speaker justified keeping weapons for self-defense in the name of religion, adding that “where there is both shastra (scripture) and shashtra (weapons), nothing bad happens.”
