A group of Hindu nationalist supporters harassed a Muslim hawker accusing him of engaging in illegal religious conversions by manipulating people. They linked him to an alleged gang said to be involved in the kidnapping and conversion of Hindu girls in nearby villages, claiming that four girls have gone missing. They used derogatory slurs such as “kutmulla” to refer to him.
