In Chandokha (Basti), leader urges women to be “Durga/Kali,” pushes rescue and beef taboos

Location: Chandokha, Basti, Uttar Pradesh

Vishva Hindu Mahasangh leader Akhilesh Singh attended a Laxmi Pujan event, urging Hindu women to “be like Durga and Kali, and not the one wearing burqa.” He claimed that his organization had “rescued” many Hindu girls who were brainwashed into believing that their “Abdul is not like that.” Singh said that girls should remain within the Hindu faith, asserting that those born as Hindus can never eat beef. He also referenced the Changur Baba case, alleging that Muslim men have “fixed rates for Hindu girls.”
