Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, speaking at a public meeting, claimed that the Hindu religion and the idea of a “Hindu Rashtra” were created by God. He declared that they would maintain a “Hindu majority” through law or by force. He demanded a population control law and the expulsion of 3 crore Bangladeshis, whom he alleged were residing in the country illegally. He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus. Invoking the Ram Mandir movement—built “through law and force”—as proof of this approach, he pledged to similarly secure a Hindu majority nationwide. Citing Israel as an example, he asserted that even a smaller Hindu population would still fight and win.
