A mob comprising members of the BJP and Bajrang Dal attempted to attack Deputy Mayor Nazia Hasan and tried to forcefully enter her office in response to her social media post that read: “We love Hindus as much as we love Muslims. We hate Pakistan as much as we hate the RSS because both supported the two-nation theory.” Hasan alleged that despite repeatedly calling the Superintendent of Police, District Magistrate, and other officials, no one responded to her appeals for help.
