At a Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya and Vishal Sant Sammelan, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted measures to protect the state’s “devatva” (divine character), including laws against religious conversion and the dissolution of the Madrasa Board. He peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” and asserted that strict action was being taken against them. He further claimed that alleged ‘encroachments’ and the settlement of people from a “special community” had created a demographic imbalance that would no longer be allowed to continue.
