Hindu Raksha Dal president Bhupendra ‘Pinky’ Chaudhary asserted how “topiwale” (skullcap wearers) and “ dariwale” (bearded men) have settled in the area and promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleging that “jihadis” trap and marry Hindu women and have multiple children with them. He fearmongered about a demographic shift, claiming that within ten years the “children of jihadis” would double in number and that Hindus were being forced and intimidated to migrate as many localities became devoid of Hindus. He urged attendees to identify their “family and enemies,” asserting that Hindus are their brothers, not “topiwale” (skullcap wearers) or “ dariwale” (bearded men). He further alleged that Muslims are indoctrinated in mosques and madrasas, questioned who teaches Hindus, and criticised Hindus for sending their children to Christian educational institutions.
