BJP member Sunder Dhariwal, accompanied by Hindu nationalist supporters, confronted a Muslim-owned non-vegetarian restaurant, accusing the owner of misleading Hindus by operating under the name “Kamal Chicken Corner.” They demanded the removal of the signboard and threatened legal action. Dhariwal said that if Muslims wanted to use Hindu names, they should undergo “Ghar Wapsi,” accused them of altering the area’s demography, peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “land jihad,” and alleged that they could adulterate food and deceive customers.
