At a cultural programme on Uttarakhand, BJP MLA Ravinder Singh Negi claimed that people with a “jihadi” mindset had encroached on government land to build mosques, madrasas, and similar structures, and that the Dhami government is “freeing” the land. He falsely claimed that if the government had not taken such measures, the population of those with a “jihadi mindset” would have exceeded the Hindu population, and asserted that the government is working to ensure that not a single person with a “jihadi mentality” lives in the state.
