Bhupendra “Pinki” Chaudhary, national president of the Hindu Raksha Dal, speaking at a Hanuman Chalisa gathering, delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech, alleging that Muslim children know who their enemies are and that Muslims seek to “capture” India. He criticised Hindus for prioritising education and wealth instead of teaching their children about those “out to kill them,” citing the persecution of Hindus in Kashmir, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. He peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleged that Hindu women were getting trapped and cows were being slaughtered by “butchers,” and fearmongered over an alleged decline in Hindu population. He claimed Muslims and Christians had multiple countries while Hindus had none, and stated Hindus were safe as long as they are in the police and armed forces. Referring to Muslims as “jihadis,” he claimed that Hindus would become unsafe if Muslims became a majority, warned that Hindu children would be “circumcised” and forced to wear “topi” (skullcaps), and asserted that Hindus must fight for their existence. He called for India to be made a “Hindu Rashtra,” claimed that those who had demanded Pakistan should not be allowed to live in India, referred to Muslims as “topi and dariwale,” and alleged that they were eloping with Hindu women.
