Cow vigilantes brutally assaulted and humiliated two Dalit men who were transporting cows they had purchased, falsely accusing them of being cow smugglers. The assailants stripped and shaved half their head, tied them with ropes, forced them to eat grass and drink sewage water, and made them crawl along the road for two kilometres. The victims also alleged that the vigilantes demanded ₹30,000 from them.
