Far-right Hindu organisations raided the hotel room of an interfaith couple, alleging that the Muslim man had hidden his identity and falsely claiming that the woman was a minor. After the allegation collapsed, the groups assaulted the hotel receptionists and the man, berated him for being in a relationship with a Hindu woman, abused and slapped him, and later took out a “victory parade” in the presence of the police.
