In Dibrugarh, Amit Shah Vows to Identify and Deport Every ‘Ghuspaithiya’ in Assam

Location: Dibrugarh, Assam

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at the inauguration of a new secretariat building, questioned whether there should be “ghuspaith” (infiltration) in Assam, claiming that the present BJP government has stopped “demographic change” in the state and “freed” 1.26 lakh acres of land from “ghuspaithiya.” He urged people to vote for the BJP if they want to stop “infiltration,” promising to identify and deport each and every “ghuspaithiya” if the party is brought back to power for a third term. He claimed that “ghuspaithiya” stole the rights of the poor, changed the demography, and compromised the security of the country. He also alleged that infiltrators have been involved in the hunting of rhinos in Kaziranga.
