At a Sakal Hindu Sammelan, former BJP national secretary Sunil Deodhar claimed that Muslims were responsible for restricting the freedom, education, and opportunities of Hindu women. He alleged that Muslims historically targeted Hindu women to increase their population, portrayed historical Muslim rulers as pioneers of “love jihad,” and spread the conspiracy of “love jihad”.
