Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a BJP rally, targeted those he referred to as “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators), claiming they are stealing the livelihoods of youth, putting pressure on infrastructure, and committing atrocities against women. He further claimed that the demographics of border areas have changed and that it poses a threat to the state, and asserted that voting for the BJP would drive the “ghuspaithiya” away.
BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari alleged that Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingyas are destroying the state and the country, and urged that only the Prime Minister can save the state, which he termed “Shyama Prasad’s Bengali Hindu Homeland.”
