Sanatan Sanstha organised a conference advocating for the declaration of India as a “Hindu Rashtra”, where several speakers reiterated their demand. Pramod Muthalik, chief of the Shri Ram Sena, called for a Dharmyudh (religious war) to establish a Hindu Rashtra, urging the use of both religious scriptures and weapons. Arjun Sampath, leader of the Hindu Makkal Katchi, outlined the objective of the event, stating that its aim was to declare India a “Hindu Rashtra.” BJP MLA T. Raja Singh claimed that “jihadis” are hiding in every corner of the country and warned of an impending war and urged Hindus to prepare themselves.
Hindu nationalist author Neeraj Atri referred to non-Hindus as “jihadis” and “Mlecchas,” and claimed that there are only two paths to achieving a Hindu Rashtra in their presence: one through action by the police and the army, and the other through conversion to Hinduism (ghar wapsi). Far-right author Koenraad Elst declared that India is already a Hindu Rashtra in essence. Other speakers at the event called for the formal establishment of a Hindu Rashtra and emphasised the need to convert non-Hindus to Hinduism. One speaker also chanted slogans demanding the reconstruction of temples at sites where he alleged mosques had been built over Hindu temples.
