A large mob of over a hundred people burned down more than half a dozen Muslim houses during a communal clash. According to the police, the violence erupted a few hours earlier after three men, one of whom was out on bail in a temple desecration case, allegedly assaulted local residents. A police officer said the crowd set vehicles on fire and demanded to be allowed to enter Muslim homes.
