Authorities demolished a multi-storey mazar (shrine), alleging it was an illegal encroachment on Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) land. Officials carried out the demolition under heavy police and PAC deployment, claiming the shrine structure had been built during the COVID-19 pandemic, while local residents said the shrine had existed at the site for over 20 years.
