At the inauguration of development works, BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar targeted Muslims, accusing them of violence and exploitation. Referring to BJP’s electoral win in West Bengal, he alleged that Muslims had murdered more than 40,000 Hindus and s*xually assaulted and killed Hindu women “like goats in a market.” He further claimed that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power, Hindus had “cleaned them all up” and that women could now move about safely.
He derogatorily referred to Muslims as “pigs” and “disease” and praised a village for not allowing any “jihadi” to settle there. He claimed that another village had been affected after settlement of those he described as a “disease,” alleging that they routinely created disturbances because “wrongdoing” was their habit. He warned residents against renting warehouses to “Bangladeshis” and vowed to drive them out, claiming that hospitals had now been built where “pigs” once roamed.
