At Ahilyabai Holkar Jayanti, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya alleged that Mughal rulers destroyed Hindu temples and glorified Ahilyabai Holkar for rebuilding them, claiming that without her efforts many temples would continue to be mosques. He invoked the Gyanvapi Mosque in Kashi and the Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura, claiming the mosques stand on where the temples stood, questioning whether a mosque should be built beside the Vishwanath temple. He alleged that Aurangzeb and Babur had destroyed Hindu temples to build mosques and asserted that, just as Ram devotees had “won” in Ayodhya, devotees of Shiva and Krishna would “win” in Kashi and Mathura. He further criticised the Congress for the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh for Muslims, alleging that they yet continued to nurture that “disease” in the country through “appeasement” and vote-bank politics. He also claimed that “ghuspaithiyas” (infiltrators) were living in India using fake identities because of vote-bank politics and vowed that every “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrator) would be expelled from the country.
