At an event organised by the Hindu Raksha Dal, its president, Pinky Chaudhary, used derogatory slurs against Muslims, referring to them as “kaatmullas” and “mullas” and alleging that Muslims support Hamas. He demonised Muslim men, spread the conspiracy of “love jihad”, portrayed Muslims as an internal threat, fearmongered about “Islamisation”, and drew false equivalences by comparing the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh to that of Muslims in India.
