During Hanuman Janmotsav, Bhupendra Chaudhary, president of the Hindu Raksha Dal, delivered a hate speech targeting Muslims and Christians, accusing them of converting Hindus and threatening Hindu families. Referring to Muslims as “jihadi,” “topiwale” (skullcap wearers), “dariwale” (bearded men), and “katmullah,” he urged vigilance so that no Hindu woman elopes with a “mullah,” and asserted he would ensure that “not a single Hindu family migrates out of fear,” warning of serious consequences for those who do not support him. He called for mobilisation to “protect temples, daughters, and homes,” and to inculcate religious practices among children. He peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad,” alleging that “jihadis” target Hindu women who end up being “cut into 36 pieces,” and warned that Hindus must do “whatever it takes” to prevent migration. He further threatened exclusion, stating that those who do not say “Bharat Mata ki Jai” would not be allowed to live there and could be forced to comply. He asserted that India belongs to Hindus, questioned the presence of Muslims after Partition, and warned against creating a “Bangladesh-like situation.” He also alleged that mosques and madrasas promote extremism and “jihad,” and cited an alleged incident of Hindus being forced out of localities. Another speaker urged Hindus to organise, contrasting Friday prayers, and to ensure that “jihadi mentality” does not grow while asserting the dominance of “Sanatan.”
