The district administration conducted a demolition drive targeting 73 Muslim families in five villages, over the failure to convert the land from agricultural to residential use after purchase. The affected families alleged that they were notified only a day before the demolition, leaving them insufficient time to remove their belongings. The eviction action followed complaints by the Bhoomi Sanrakshan Samiti, which alleged that migrants from other districts had illegally purchased land and settled in the area.
