Police and college workers forcefully removed protesting women and detained them as they attempted a hunger strike against the burqa ban at Vivek Vidyalaya Junior College. AIMIM Women’s Wing leader Jahnara Sheikh was present during the protest, and the college administration ordered the removal of all demonstrators.
