During the Veer Balidan Diwas event, far-right monk Yati Narsinghanand Giri warned that India could have a Muslim Prime Minister within a decade who would “demolish the Ram Mandir.” He claimed that for 1,400 years, Hindus have made ties with Muslims, whom he referred to as “galeech” and “gire hue.” He fearmongered over an alleged demographic shift, particularly the decline in the Hindu population. He demanded stricter gun laws and population control laws, alleging that Bangladesh-like situations would emerge in India as well if Hindus remained silent. Another monk, Arun Krishna Maharaj, claimed that the majority of terrorist organisations are Muslim and cited religious texts to assert that Krishna asked Arjun to “cut adharmis,” irrespective of their relationship to him.
