Yati Narsinghanand Giri, speaking at an event at Radhakrishna Gaushala, used dog-whistle rhetoric to compare Muslims to “demons,” claiming, “In order to fight demons, you have to become a demon.” He asserted that a true religious preacher is one who can stand among a crore Muslims and still present “the truth about Islam.” He also called for preventing interfaith marriages.
