Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the Birth Centenary Celebration of former Chief Minister Golap Borbora, targeted those he referred to as “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators). He praised the Assam government for freeing one lakh bighas of land from alleged ‘ghuspaithiyas,’ including areas in Kaziranga and Satras. He also endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘new demography mission’ to study the country’s demographic changes and identify the alleged infiltrators, vowing to the youth that the government would free not just Assam but the entire country from them.
