At a BJP rally during Hasirani Rath’s nomination process for the Nandigram Assembly bypoll, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari described the upcoming October 6 elections in Nandigram and Rejinagar as a “test” for minority voters. Addressing minority communities who he stated do not vote for the BJP, he asked whether they wanted to “stay with the government” and “work hand-in-hand” with the Chief Minister, adding that they would have to “pass or fail” the test.
