In Haldwani, CM Dhami touts crackdowns under “Operation Kalnemi” and anti-“jihad” laws

At the Kumau Dwar Mahotsav event, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted his government’s measures to maintain the identity, culture, and demographic composition of Devbhoomi, referencing Operation Kalnemi, and implementation of laws against conversion, riots, “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” further claiming strict action against the “land jihadis” occupying government land. He detailed actions against alleged “land jihad,” claiming the reclamation of over 9,000 acres of government land and the demolition of more than 550 shrines and mosques he termed “illegal.” He also spoke about the introduction of a bill to abolish the madrasa board and the closure of around 230 madrasas.
